He was Runner-Up as Best Business Columnist in The Publisher Magazine Publishing Awards for his health and psychology articles in the CIPD journal Personnel Management. Dr Sigman’s public speaking engagements include an address to the Children and the Media Conference at the Houses of Parliament, a keynote speech at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development annual conference, the Department of Trade and Industry conference and the Radio Academy, as well as debating at the Oxford Union. He was invited to speak at the  Edinburgh International Festival  and to debate at an event held by the Spectator at The Royal Institution. He has addressed the European Parliament Working Group on the Quality of Childhood in the European Union in Brussels on two occasions.  He was a keynote speaker at two Department of Health NHS conferences on alcohol: The North West Alcohol Conference and the North East Alcohol Office conference 'Calling Time on Second Hand Harm'. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health have invited Dr Sigman to speak at their Annual Conference  as a clinical and scientific session on Young Persons Health.  He was invited by the Ministry of National Education to speak at the First International Congress of Technology Addiction in Istanbul. Scotland's national Violence Reduction Unit invited Dr Sigman to speak to the nation's police at their conference on alcohol.
